EVLT Laser Treatment
The EVLT procedure begins with an interventional radiologist inserting a catheter into the varicose vein. Using ultrasound to see inside the patient, the doctor guides the catheter through the vein. A laser at the end of the catheter heats the walls of the vein, which closes it. This causes blood to stop flowing through the vein.

EVLT Laser Treatment

EVLT/EVLA is a new way to treat varicose veins EVLT without surgery. Instead of ligating and removing abnormal veins, it treats varicose veins EVLT using 1470nm laser energy to deliver targeted heat directly into the vein, causing it to collapse and eventually be reabsorbed by the body, eliminating the affected vein and improving blood flow. It can be performed in a simple treatment room rather than an operating room, very convenient.

Clinical Applications of EVLT/EVLA Laser Treatment Ablation

In the EVLT/EVLA procedure, the surgeon utilizes ultrasound imaging to locate the target vein. The veins suitable for treatment include the primary venous trunks in the legs, such as the Great Saphenous Vein (GSV), the Small Saphenous Vein (SSV), and their significant tributaries, like the Anterior Accessory Saphenous Veins (AASV).

The 1470nm diode laser energy is preferentially absorbed in the intracellular water of the vein wall and in the water content of blood. The irreversible photo-thermal process induced by the 1470 laser energy results in a complete occlusion of the treated vein. The lower energy level needed using the radial laser fiber round tip significantly minimized adverse effects compared with the bare laser fiber.

How To Do Treatment With Endolaser and Fiber?

During the 45-minutes procedure, a laser catheter is inserted into the defective vein. This is usually performed under local anesthesia using ultrasound guidance. The 1470 laser heats the lining within the vein, damaging it and causing it to shrink, and seal shut. Once this happens, the closed vein can no longer carry blood, eliminating vein bulging by correcting the root of the problem, very fast and good results.

The 1470nm laser energy is preferentially absorbed in the intracellular water of the vein wall and in the water content of blood. The irreversible photo-thermal process induced by the laser energy results in a complete occlusion of the treated vein. This wavelength provides excellent precision in targeting the vein walls, ensuring efficient vein closure with minimal thermal damage to surrounding tissues.
